Congratulations on your exciting first step. Here are a few suggestions on how to make your dance experience with Mad Academy more enjoyable and rewarding.

Arrive for class 20 minutes early!
You will receive a name tag at the registration desk
Dress is casual and comfortable
Footwear - soft or leather soles. Ladies flats or low heels please
No partner is necessary
We rotate everyone in class
Class progression - each week we review and build on the prior weeks material

Don't wait, getting out and practicing what you learned in class or private lessons is important to your overall improvement. We have several opportunities for you to have fun, meet some friendly people and dance a lot.

Want to dance but don't have the funds right now? We have a wonderful and very successful volunteer work - study program for anyone interested in becoming an Academy staff volunteer.

We believe anyone who wants to improve or are just learning to dance should not be turned away for lack of funds. If this sounds good to you, or you know someone who may benefit from this program. Call Tina High our Office Administrator between the hours of 10:00AM - 5:00PM, Monday - Friday at area code (919) 494-2300 or you can email us.

Whether you are a current academy student or not, we provide several fun opportunities for you to practice with other dancers from around the Triangle area on the sixth week of our regular six week class sessions. Please check our calendar for new Group Classes, Social Dance Parties & Sunday Carolina Dance Club Dances. If you have no prior knowledge of dance, we have a fun Newcomer Dance Lesson at 6:30pm for your enjoyment. No prior experience or partner is necessary to join us at these socials.

Basic review East Coast Swing Lesson at 6:30pm. - NO SOCIAL THIS MONTH

Learn the popular swing line dance - SHIM, SHAM SHIMMY @8pm
Open swing dancing from 7:30pm - 9:30pm.

WESTCOAST SWING, NIGHTCLUB 2-STEOP & HUSTLE

Basic review West Coast Swing Lesson at 6:30pm. - NO SOCIAL THIS MONTH
Open dancing from 7:30pm - 9:30pm.
Location: Benson Memorial Methodist Church - 4706 Creedmoor Rd, Raleigh

SALSA, MERENGUE, BACHATA , CHA CHA, TANGO

Basic review Salsa Lesson at 6:30pm. - NO SOCIAL THIS MONTH
Open Latin dancing from 7:30pm - 9:30pm.

Admission: FREE to all currently enrolled Mad About Dance Academy students, $2.00 Guests - includes Newcomer Lesson and dancing.
