The Carolina Dance Club is a fun social dance organization made up of over 385 friendly people from around the Triangle, NC area. We dance and socialize at smoke free venues and welcome all newcomers to our dances. A newcomer swing dance lesson is provided before each dance at 6pm. It's a great way to meet new friends and learn several new easy dance steps. No partner is necessary to attend our activities and we welcome anyone interested in dancing and meeting new friends to join us.
Mission statement: Our organization was founded in 1998 and is interested in promoting a number of social dance styles, most notably West Coast Swing, "jitterbug" East Coast Swing, Lindy Hop, Salsa and Ballroom. All of our dance activities are at "Smoke-Free" venues. We welcome local dancers, out-of-towners and newcomers alike to participate in our numerous club activities. We encourage our club members to become active in helping shape the direction and activities of our organization.
Attention meetup, singles groups and church organizations. Organize a night out with us! Bring a group and get a discount into our weekly Sunday dance. Email us a list of names from your group and we will place them on our special groups VIP list. We must receive your group list of (12) or more people at least 5 days before the appointed dance date. It's a party every Sunday night! We host the biggest weekly swing dance in the Triangle area with over 140 friendly dancers. Come early for ballroom dancing the 1st Sunday of the month and early salsa dancing the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month. On the 3rd Sunday of every month we have special paid workshops before the evening dance. Don't forget to check out our special theme dance events happening throughout the year.
When you come out on Sunday you'll enjoy a smoke free & air conditioned venue with a cash bar. Dress is casual and the people are very warm and friendly. Admission all evening: CDC Members $6, Seniors (62+ yrs.) $8, Public $10. Admission includes FREE Swing Lesson @ 6pm. No partner is necessary. Location: Raleigh Elks Lodge.

Our new "Saturday Night Specials" dance series are a winning combination of 5:30, 6:30 & 7:30pm Introductory & upper level instructional workshops followed by a evening of social dance. Workshop instruction is provided by award winning instructors from Mad About Dance Academy. The evenings music selections are brought to you by club deejay Wesley Boz.
